On behalf of the Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy Department of India (AYUSH) and  the Australasian Association of Ayurveda (AAA) is pleased to invite you all to the AYUSH International Conference & Exhibition 2018, to be held on the 6th & 7th October 2018, at RMIT University, Bundoora Campus, Melbourne .

AYUSH is government body in India with developing, education and research in AYURVEDA (Indian Traditional Medicine), Yoga, naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa (Traditional Tibetan Medicine) and other indigenous Medicine system.

The conference is supported and funded by His Excellency, The High Commissioner of India to Australia and Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The theme of this conference is prevention and management of pain and lifestyle diseases through AYUSH. The conference is organised to increase awareness of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy and Homeopathy. This conference is trying to gather knowledge of Ayurveda and other modalities through leading dignitaries including Ayurvedic Doctors, scientists, academic scholars, universities and educational institutions from around the world.

The participating delegates/speakers are from India, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and USA. This AYUSH conference is highly beneficial to the growing natural health communities of alternative and complementary medicine in Australia. There has been a continuous surge in the number of qualified Ayurvedic practitioners in Australia. Now, many institutes are offering Advanced Diploma in Ayurveda and Yoga in Australia. It is expected that around 300-500 delegates, including Indian AYUSH Minister Sri Shripad Naik, the Indian High Commissioner to Australia Dr A M Godane, and Acting Consulate General of India in Melbourne Mr. Rakesh Malhotra are joining the event, along with other eminent personalities like AYUSH Secretary and Joint Secretary, who will also be attending.

In its essence, this upcoming conference is in Melbourne. This conference will set a foundation for the Indian PMO’s (Prime Minister’s Official Spokesman) vision of advancing Ayurveda in 100 countries within the decade with Leadership of the India Honourable PM Sri Narendra Modi. The minister of AYUSH Sri Shripad Naik is independent minister leading AYUSH ministry under the supervision of the PM Narendra Modi.  AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik underlined the need to work towards promoting the benefits of Ayurveda worldwide audience. The Ministry of AYUSH is looking to launch some possible projects in near future in Australia that would aim to give “scientific validation” to the ancient medical science and integrate it with technology. The projects would be funded by the AYUSH Ministry.

The AYUSH Conference aims to gather the expertise of Ayurvedic Traditional medicine all over the world.  AYUSH international conference in Melbourne will be a benchmark conference for the AYURVED, YOGA & Other Natural system of medicine where all natural therapy Leaders are meeting with the Indian Central minister.

We have invited Mr Greg Hunt Federal Health Minister, Victorian Health Minister Jill Hennessy and the opposition leader Mathew Guys will honour this event. So, we are expecting to meet with all the senior leaders during the conference.

Dr Santosh Kumar Yadav President of Australasian Association of Ayurveda and Organising Chair of the AYUSH International conference 2018 said to all the newspaper/media, this is big hope after the conference; AYUSH ministry may sign up some MOU between the two countries to establish the AYURVED in the main stream system of medicine in Australia. This AYUSH 2018 conference is of great interest among the growing natural health industry in Australia, the launch of the International conference will make it much easier for the graduates and natural health practitioners to work together and share ideas.
