Melbourne, Victoria Last night we saw some amazing line up of singers and dancers on one platform together, “Jashn-E-Bollywood”, which marks a celebration of 100 years of Bollywood music. Chondryma – The Artist partnered with Dr RnB Entertainment, to bring the best local talents of Melbourne and present a spectacular show in front of the audience. And has indeed set the bar high for Bollywood music and events in Melbourne.

The show started with invoking the blessings of the Almighty and paying respect to the traditional custodians of this land.

The chief guests of the ceremony were Mr Nitin Gupta (Former Ministerial Advisor) and Mr Yogendra Lakshman (received Parliament of Victoria “Award of Excellence”), and we saw some eminent faces of the Victorian Indian community in the event like Mr Aravind Putta (AFL Ambassador), Mr Vikrant Kishore (Deakin University), Mr Jitarth Jai Bharadwaj (SBS Hindi), Mr. Vinay Kolappe, Mr Dharmesh Chudasama and Mr Mangirish Bordawekar (Manmohini Events).

Chondryma is a music artist (singer, lyricist, performer) who has performed in many shows in India and Australia (Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney) over last 10 years or more, and this was her first Bollywood event as an organiser with Rajesh Yadav. And what a huge success in the first event itself – it was a houseful show!

Bollywood music enthusiasts from all over Melbourne attended the event and we even had audience who came all the way from Sydney and Tasmania.

The event brought together some wonderful singers including Bharat Uniyal (from Indian Idol Season 3), Vijay Kumaran, Nandini Chaudhuri, Vinay Kapoor and Kunal Sachdeva, supported by Rhythm Music Group. Highlight of the show was Kaavya Kumaran who, at the age of 10, was seen performing with her father and with a band of live musicians. The show also included sizzling dance performances from Ananda Dance group, Philip and Sakshi.

Curry King Returns, Aroma Magic, Neetu Babani (Indian Clothes and Jewellery) and Shagun Oberoi (Just Cuts) were the sponsors who supported the event.
