BAPS Celebrates Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s 91st Janma Jayanti

On Sunday 4 December 2011, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Mill Park celebrated the 91st Janma Jayanti Mahotsav of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj in the presence of Pujya Jnanpurush Swami and Pujya Adarshmuni Swami.
The evening’s celebrations centred on exploring recognition of Swamishri’s effortless love and sacrifices for all. During the course of his lifetime he has personally counselled countless people of all walks of life and is an inspiration for countless people around the globe.
Even at the age of 91, he continues to travel throughout the world, inspiring people to lead lives grounded in spiritually and selfless service.
On this auspicious occasion, the opulent chal (mobile) murti of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj (Bhagwan Swaminarayan) was instilled at the new Mandir. The Mandir is also now open to the community on a daily basis with the arrival of Pujari (resident priest).
Arti is performed twice in a day at 7.00 am and 7.00 pm respectively.
Pujya Jnanpurush Swami also revealed the most anticipated celebration of the year 2012, “Melbourne Mandir Mahotsav”. The three day long celebration consisting of various festivities like Murtis’ Nagar Yatra, Murti Pratishtha Vidhi, Kirtan Aradhana, Suvarna Tula Mahotsav, etc., will be organised from Friday 23 March 2012 to Sunday 25 March 2012.
Senior BAPS Sadhu Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami will be arriving from India along with many other Sadhus at the behest of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj to specially grace this occasion.
