Spice mushroom rice

Cooking Time : 10 mins.
Serves 4.
Ingredients:
2 cups long grained rice
1/3 cup mushrooms, sliced
½ cup dried black mushrooms (shitake), soaked and sliced
1 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice powder
a pinch sugar
2 tablespoons oil
Salt to taste
Method:
Heat the oil; add the mushrooms and sauté till they are tender.
Add the dried black mushrooms and sauté for 2 to 3 more minutes.
Add the Chinese 5 spice powder and sauté for ½ a minute.
Add the rice, sugar and salt and mix well. Serve hot.
Tips
Soak the dried mushrooms in hot water for 15 minutes. Remove and discard the stalk.

Add A CommentHi! Popped over from SRC blog hop. I love mosrhuom risotto and this looks heavenly. Porcini mosrhuoms and homemade stock. I can just imagine the yumminess of it.
